Short bio
We’re Nora and Rosan and we’re 18 years old. We’re studying Sport and Movement at the Alfa-college in Groningen. We did an internship in Saint Lucia for our course!
How satisfied were you with the support from Holland?
We were very happy! We could reach Ruben at any moment and he had all the answers to our questions. We often spoke to him on the phone, which made everything clear for us.

We spent 10 weeks in Saint Lucia. We left without any specific expectations, and that was a good choice for us, because it meant we avoided any disappointment. We spent most of our time giving swimming lessons, something that was new to us but that we really enjoyed. With the warm climate it was lovely to cool off in the sea and the swimming pool, the places where we taught. In our free time we did various fun activities, such as ziplining, climbing the Pitons, jet skiing and much more. The beach was only a 5 to 10 minute walk from our accommodation, so we spent lots of days there too. We would definitely recommend it, because it’s a wonderful experience that makes a valuable contribution to your personal development.

What advice would you like to give future interns and volunteers?
You can keep in touch with your family plenty, so that definitely shouldn’t hold you back! 4G isn’t necessary. There are plenty of Wi-Fi spots. We did 10 weeks without 4G
