About Saint Lucia and our project

Saint Lucia is a tropical island in the Caribbean known for its beautiful nature, warm hospitality and rich Creole culture. Although the island attracts many tourists with its white sandy beaches and lush rainforests, it also has its challenges. A major problem in Saint Lucia is access to good education. Because of economic inequality, many children have limited opportunities to develop fully.

As a participant in our programme you spend your trip in Castries, the capital of Saint Lucia, which serves as your base. During your stay you sleep in comfortable accommodation and visit our projects in the surrounding communities. Our foundation uses sport as a tool to tackle social problems. The sports lessons aim to teach children important skills such as teamwork, self confidence and leadership. We also offer educational programmes to help children develop their talents, and we provide education on topics such as gender equality, health and wellbeing. Hundreds of children take part in our projects every year, and the impact grows every year!

Where will you be?

All activities take place in and around Castries. You stay every night in cosy accommodation close to the city and the beach. Castries is a lively capital with around 20,000 inhabitants and is known for its colourful markets and friendly atmosphere. The city is surrounded by beautiful nature, from green hills to idyllic beaches. Although Castries is not big, it is buzzing with local life and offers a great introduction to the real Saint Lucia. The surrounding region is perfect for adventurous activities such as hiking, snorkelling and discovering the island’s unique culture and history.
