Pretty satisfied. You were helped and supported well with all the practical matters. The only thing is that you could have been better prepared for what exactly you were going to do and how important it was to learn the local language in Indonesia.

Oscar · internship in Indonesia

I spent four months in Indonesia doing an internship. During this time I really enjoyed my work and experienced how special it is to be able to make a real impact on the lives of the children there. It was incredibly valuable to be able to make a difference for them.

Throughout my whole internship I was mainly active at one school. This meant I could build a close bond with both the children and the teachers. At this school I also set up boxing lessons myself, which was a fantastic and educational experience. The supervisors were very involved and pleasant to work with, which made it a nice and safe place to do an internship.

Alongside the volunteering there was also room to discover the surroundings. We visited impressive places such as Mount Bromo, Rinjani and even Malaysia. Because you live and work in a country for a longer period, you really get to know the culture. That made the experience not only interesting but also hugely educational.

All in all, during my internship in Indonesia I built valuable relationships and had unforgettable experiences that I look back on with great pride and gratitude.
